LEN AITKEN (PRODUCER)
Since 1975 Len Aitken has produced a wide range of high-quality
films including corporate promotions, TV commercials, PBS documentaries,
network TV specials and theatrical motion pictures. Aitken's documentary
on the first Trans-Atlantic balloon flight, "The Impossible Dream" won
an Emmy for Best Sports Film. The following year ABC asked Aitken to
be Director of Photography for a second attempt to cross the Atlantic
by balloon. The flight was successful and ABC had an historic first
and a prime time special. Aitken has shot over 20 documentary films
in Asia, Africa and South America. Educational documentaries such as "Avalanche
a Question of Balance", "River in the Desert" which
ran on PBS and "Broadcast Blues" have won top awards in national
and international film festivals. Aitken has also worked as a Director
of Photography on feature films: “Kid Colter”, “Other
Things Not Intended to Hurt”, “The Destroyer” and
Disney's “Aspen Extreme.”
PETER GARRITY (PRODUCER)
Peter Garrity has produced numerous films and documentaries starting in college
where he was nominated for the Student Academy Awards and honored at the Los
Angeles International Film Festival (Filmex). Garrity wrote and produced Shadow
of Death, starring Anthony Perkins and Deborah Foreman. Other examples of productions
he produced include; The Forgotten One, which became a best seller on home video
and premiered on Showtime; Double Obsession, a psychological thriller starring
Margaux Hemingway, Frederic Forest, Maryam D'Abo and Scott Valentine (purchased
by Columbia Tri-Star for domestic and international distribution);; Pop Quiz,
a movie about teenage suicide starring Litefoot and Jennifer Lyons; Ichabod,
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, starring Bob Gunton and Peter O'Meara. In addition
to feature films, Mr. Garrity has written, produced and directed documentaries
on subjects ranging from the Women's Olympic Volleyball Team to the California
Gold Rush. He has written and produced television productions for Knowledge TV,
The History Channel, PBS, Hallmark Entertainment Network, T.C.I and others.
